Planning for sustainable communities involves an examination of the various aspects of municipal, community and private sector operations that have a potential impact on the
environment. Measuring the level of green house gasses (GHG) being emitted in a community has been identified by the Federal Government as a reasonable way to
monitor the sustainability of a community. Reduction in GHG emissions has also been identified as a national objective in support of reducing our contribution to climate
change.

The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) provides a variety of “green funds” to assist communities develop and meet their own GHG targets. Henderson Paddon can assist municipalities, community groups and business settings and achieving their
